Guild is a messaging app for professionals launched in the UK. Its mission is to deliver a private networking solution for the mobile age. They needed a fast, intuitive app to compete with giants like WhatsApp.

By choosing cross-platform development, it was possible to achieve a great balance between performance and cost, as well as to share 99% of code with the mobile version and 80% of the code in general.

The mobile app for iOS and Android gained exceptional UX without compromising on performance.

Right after the release, Guild raised $1.2M (£880,000) in seed funding for further development and growing sales.

Revolutionizing employee recognition and reward

Cooleaf is a web and mobile application revolutionizing the approach to employee recognition and rewards. Operating on a highly competitive HR tech market, it managed to mark its presence in the B2B sector.

We have had the pleasure of maintaining a 10-year technical partnership with Cooleaf throughout various stages of their product design and development.

Thanks to 2 days of detailed design workshop, the client was able to create a completely novel idea for the product. Within just two months, Cooleaf received a Minimum Viable Product and could immediately begin to look for market fit.

After we provided an MVP, Cooleaf came to us with a half-finished mobile app with hardto-maintain legacy code. By switching to the Ionic framework and rewriting the native codebase, the app gained a fresh look and feel.

It took Monterail six weeks to deliver us a beautifully designed app for iOS and Android. I didn’t even know it was possible! Each stage of the development was conducted professionally and in a timely manner: from the concept, through the implementation to final steps.

In April 2022 - after 7 months of moving between the very initial application plan to its working version - the MVP with basic functionalities for online pharmacies was launched, and in June 2022, the team at Scription collected feedback from the app’s beta users to make adjustments to the product.

The alpha version of the app was released later in July 2022. Patients can get a prescription and then their medications are delivered in less than 90 minutes. Pharmacies gain access to a new pool of potential customers and a steady stream of online orders.

Online therapy and wellbeing mobile application

Panda aims to make mental health more accessible in Africa. They believe that everyone should have access to mental health care and support, which is not the case for many people. The company has taken it as its mission to help provide the resources in this gap and fight the three main reasons for the lack of accessibility: stigma, cost, and unawareness.

As they are a company in its early stages, they required a team of experts that could support the creation of the app on all stages from day one. They knew what they wanted in terms of functionality for the app.

We started our cooperation with discovery workshops during which we mapped out user journeys to help understand how the pieces fit together to bring this product to life.

Our main focus was to provide a smooth experience to all users, especially those with a low internet connection to motivate them not to resign from sessions due to streaming problems. We also ensured that data encryption and safe storage of data, crucial in the mental health industry, are incorporated into the app.

What impressed me the most about the team, is how quickly they grasped what we are trying to achieve, and how they supported us to bring our vision to life. We have a world-class product and we wouldn’t have gotten to this point alone. Monterail was the perfect partner to get us here.

Shipping app for eCommerce sellers

Easyship specializes in providing shipping software for eCommerce sellers and growing businesses. The software offers a wide range of courier services, calculates tax and duty costs, prepares paperwork for customs clearance and delivery, and allows tracking of the shipment.

Sneak peek into the project

Easyship is a returning customer that we helped by rebuilding their marketing website. Data showed that a mobile app was a next-in-line necessity, and after confirming the business strategy and product roadmap, our cooperation rekindled.

As the backend part of the application has been taken care of by their team, Easyship needed us to build a multilingual mobile app from scratch and integrate it with their web platform.

For the frontend, we used React Native and Typescript. After 5 months, we delivered the MVP that has functionalities tailored for the industry’s needs, like a barcode scanner, a variety of filters for sorting and searching options, live chat support, and much more.

Consistency & quality

My favorite thing about this collaboration is the app’s consistency. All pages have the same high quality and response. Our beta testing users love the app and they can’t even find bugs in the MVP.

B2C web & mobile car parking
platform

Admyt is an innovative car parking system aiming to compete with regular paper ticket-based approaches. Their mission is to provide a seamless experience for anyone visiting a shopping mall or a venue with a parking lot.

Sneak peek into the project

Optimizing server synchronization time from 20-30 seconds to just 30 milliseconds made the app easy to scale.

As a result, admyt could easily expand from shopping centers to retail, offices, and residential real estate.

The new mobile and web versions of the app serves over 41,000 users and approximately 60,000 cars in almost 20 shopping malls in South Africa, Australia, and Poland
